The Postgraduate Program in Meteorology from Universidade de São Paulo - USP - Brasil seeks for preparing researchers and professionals to develop strong knowledge in the field of atmospheric sciences, including here climate changes, atmosphere-biosphere interaction, ocean-atmosphere interaction and air pollution and its effects on human beings and on the environment.
Solid training in these areas enable students a versatile performance and autonomy to face the challenges that academic or professional activity will require.
Currently, there are 60 students regularly enrolled in the program (30 in masters and 30 in doctorate). Historically, most interested in our Program came from people graduated in Meteorology, Physics and Mathematics curses. Nowadays, in addition to these courses, our areas of research have attracted geographers, biologists, chemists, engineers and others.
