Aimed at the development, characterization and application of materials, PGrCEM was designed to train qualified professionals through advanced research and educational activities in order to enable them to work at universities, research and development institutes, and companies.
The main goal of PGrCEM's Masters program is to promote student expertise in the field of metalic, ceramic, polymeric, and composite materials by means of advanced theories and experimental techniques, thereby enabling them to solve current scientific and technological problems. In complement to the knowledge provided in its Masters program, PGrCEM's PhD program aims to train highly specialized profissionals, capable of solving complex problems at the cutting edge of knowledge in Materials Science and Engineering.
PGrCEM carries out its teaching and research activities at São Carlos School of Engineering (EESC/USP) in conjunction with São Carlos Institute of Physics (IFSC/USP) and São Carlos Institute of Chemistry (IQSC/USP). The integration of students and researchers from these different units into a single program encourages the sharing of undergraduate and graduate laboratories, the conduction of joint projects, and resource optimization.
