The Graduate Program on Energy (PPGE) is linked to the Institute of Energy and Environment of the University of Sao Paulo (IEE USP) and offers Strictu Sensu Courses of Masters and Doctoral degrees in the field of energy.
The Program leads researchers linked to energy availability and generation, its uses and its impacts on society and the environment.
The Program is characterized by the interdisciplinary character of the disciplines that are offered by the faculty consisting of professors from various fields of knowledge, as well as by research and extension activities.
The students are welcomed from different areas of knowledge - all specialties of engineering, physicists, chemists, biologists, geologists, administrators, economists, lawyers, architects, sociologists, anthropologists, geographers, historians, as well as researchers and professionals from fields that interact with the energy through private visions, such as law, journalism, ecology, international relations, among others.
This allows the researcher to gain a vision of energy, fundamentally interdisciplinary, where disciplines and research activities conducted by faculty allow an intense dialogue between the various areas of knowledge that compose it. From this construction, the researcher is directed to confront the education provides by the Program with their original training area, in order to allow the deepening theoretical and practical, articulating the various knowledge with the specifics of their training. This rich intellectual process enables the consolidation and advancement of knowledge in the area of Energy.
