The Graduate Program in Toxicology provides educational and professional training in Toxicology. Our students are conducting cutting-edge research including: Environmental Toxicology, Occupational Toxicology, Mechanisms of Toxicology, Carcinogenesis and Mutagenesis, Forensic Toxicology, Analytical Toxicology, Molecular Epidemiology, Gene/Environmental Interactions, Interactions Between Nutrients and Xenobiotics, Biochemical Toxicology, Toxicokinetics and Pharmacokinetics, Risk Assessment and Toxinology. 

Graduates of our Program are prepared to conduct basic and public health research, teach, and provide technical support to federal, state, and local governments, industry, and public interest groups in areas including the evaluation and testing of harmful effects of chemical, and biological agents on living organisms; prevention of chemical induced diseases; chemical risk assessment; and environmental protection through governmental regulations for the control and monitoring of hazardous, as well as conduct research in molecular mechanisms of cellular and organism responses to environmental and industrial chemicals and drugs.
