The Graduate Program in Biochemical and Pharmaceutical Technology, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of São Paulo, aims to train Masters and Doctors with ability to develop and improve technological processes at laboratory, pilot and/or semi-pilot scale in Biochemical-Pharmaceutical area. Its aim is also disseminate the knowledge generated in the relevant scientific literature and protect data with potential for technological transfer to industry through patents. Projects are focused mainly on technological innovation, and demonstrate how researchers are committed to promoting the research, consistent with the program objectives and with the national policy for scientific independence in Biochemical-Pharmaceutical area.
The proposal of Masters and PhD courses is to train high-level human resources to generate new centers of techno-scientific development, address the lack of human resources in the country and contribute to national development in major areas of Fermentation Technology, Chemical-Pharmaceutical Technology and Food Technology.
