The purpose of the Graduate Program in Sustainability (Master and Doctorate) is supported by two research lines: (a) Environmental Science and Technology ; and (b) Environmental Management. These lines meet the characteristics of consolidated projects and studies that have been conducted by the faculty in their research groups since the beginning of operation of the courses in the School of Arts, Sciences and Humanities (EACH) USP.
The Research Line 1, Environmental Science and Technology, refers to the generation of basic and applied knowledge to practices aimed at sustainability. This line includes proposals for diagnosis and prognosis, including discussions and generation of techniques employed to sustainable practices. Also refers to the proposed conceptual and theoretical advances within the theme.
The Research Line 2, Environmental Management, refers to the understanding of the mechanisms, actions and strategies for the organization and implementation of public policies and social initiatives for the development of management tools in public and private spheres and the third sector. Projects allocated in this line related with social actions and local, municipal, regional, national and international public policy.
