The program aims to prepare teachers and researchers to perform activities related to the several Plant Soil and Nutrition areas. Degrees and time to completion: The program offers the degrees of Master and Doctor in Sciences, both full-time, and the maximum time to completion is 24, 48 and 54 months respectively for the Master, Doctor and Straight-through Doctor degree programs. Research fields

• Organic matter dynamics and behavior of elements and toxic substances in the environment; 
• Soil biological diversity, soil-plant- microorganisms interactions;
• Applied soil physics, soil degradation and recovery; 
• Plant nutrition management, impacts and agronomic efficiency of fertilizer use, waste and wastewater in agriculture;
• Pedogenesis and geography of soils
