The Graduate Program in Information Systems (PPgSI) at the School of Arts, Sciences and Humanities (EACH), University of São Paulo (USP), is a graduate program of the Computer Science area whose aim is to generate knowledge and prepare researchers with expertise in the Information Systems subject. This object of study covers technological, computational, human and organizational aspects of systems. Currently, PPgSI offers an Academic Master of Science in Information Systems.

The PPgSI's innovative aspect is to address Information Systems in a comprehensive way. Our Masters of Science will have a solid foundation that will enable them to verify and assess information needs, specify information requirements, design practical systems to meet the requirements, and propose improvements and technological innovations in the various components of an Information System. For this purpose, they must both develop technical expertise in Information Technology (IT) and understand about organizations, concepts and processes, in order to undertake a creative, efficient and effective use of IT in solving real-world problems in various areas of knowledge.
