The Postgraduate Program in Psychiatry seeks to educate researchers to be recognized by their peers, both in Brazil and abroad, due to their competence and quality of their research.
Aimed at producing new original and groundbreaking research, we direct the program for scientific investigation grounded in rigorous methodology with the most modern technical and laboratory resources. We structure our program with a proposed curriculum based on methodology, investigation activities and research projects aimed at educating masters and doctors in excellence level and international competitiveness with research lines in Epidemiology, Psychiatric Genetics, Neuroscience, Psychophysiology, Neuroimaging, Clinical Psychiatry, Psychopathology, Clinical Psychopharmacology, Psychotherapy, Drug and Alcohol Abuse and Dependence Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry, in which clinical and therapeutic issues are discussed as well as studies on the pathophysiology of psychiatric disorders.
We seek to match our program with major research centers abroad through teachers and students exchanges, mainly Harvard, Yale, Toronto and Duke University Programs, with which we maintain numerous teaching and research collaborations.
