This Program aims at scientific and technological strengthening related to Clinical Oncology, Stem cells and Cell Therapy, promoting the confluence of data and ideas that support the establishment of more effective and agile mechanisms in knowledge exchange, and offering development and diffusion of Science and Technology as tools for the inclusion of Brazilian researchers in the international competitive academic world. The Program has the objective of creating opportunities to assemble basic and applied science, involving its students in specific trainings and in the acquisition of skills, besides forming leadership, focusing on the development of the critical spirit needed to think of new challenges.
The set of disciplines intends to offer students a solid foundation of interdisciplinary knowledge that allows manipulation, characterization and cell differentiation of stem cells, and the investigation on clinical oncology with the ultimate goal of developing new cell therapies.
The first selection process was done in 2012, 9 students applied, all of them were admitted and enrolled, seven students in the master and two students in the doctorate program.
