The FORP/USP Graduate Program in Pediatric Dentistry offers Master’s and Doctoral degrees. The main goal of the Program is to train proactive persons to develop academic activities, including teaching and research. The program has 11 professors, 63,6% of them with Research Productivity scholarships granted by the Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) and research grants from financial support agencies. The teaching & research team is widely acknowledged, at national and international levels, for the excellence of their scientific publications in distinguished journals and 4 textbooks (2 in Brazil and 2 abroad).
The Master’s program was established in October 1998 and enrolled the first students in February 1999. The Doctoral program was established in June 2005 and enrollment started in February 2006. The excellence of the FORP/USP Graduate Program in Pediatric Dentistry (Master’s and Doctoral degrees) has been certified by the Brazilian Ministry of Health’s Federal Agency for Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education (CAPES) in its last triennial evaluation of the Brazilian Graduate Programs (2010/2012).
