Created in 1978, the graduate program in Animal Nutrition and Production (PPGNPA), at the School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science from the Universidade de São Paulo, graduates masters and doctorates knowledgeable in Animal Nutrition and Production. Our program relies on 17 advisors (4 full professors, 7 associated professors and 6 assistant professors).
Located in the city of Pirassununga – SP, the PPGNPA possesses modern and diversified research facilities comprised of 25 departmental laboratories, as well as the availability of the research facilities and herds in the 2.300 ha of the University Campus at Pirassununga.
The main values guiding the PPGNPA mission are: improving the knowledge in the Animal Nutrition and Production field, integration between high-quality research and development of human resources, professional and social ethics, appreciation of animal welfare and sustainability in the social-environmental development.
