The Graduate Program in Mathematics (PPG-MAT) at the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics, University of Sao Paulo, is composed of a Masters program and a PhD program. The faculty on the Program has regular publications with international impact. We have an excellent infrastructure, which includes computer labs, study rooms and a library with one of the largest collections in Mathematics in Latin America.
In addition to a diverse number of courses offered each semester, the Program also offers summer courses of basic and advanced levels. Having distinguished itself in recent decades as a leading center for training researchers in mathematics, PPG-MAT has received high ratings in the last triennial evaluations by CAPES that ensures it to be part of the Academic Excellence Program (PROEX).
