The Program aims to train Masters and Doctors who will think in the Spanish Language and Spanish and Latin American fiction, its specific forms, manifestations, issues and its relations with Brazilian and other contexts. In our days, turned to internationalization and regional alliances, the links between languages and latin american literatures has become strategical.

This translates to an increasing dynamism in our field through new events and publications, as well as a growing interest among latin-american students for post graduate degrees in the area. In addition to organizing International and National meetings and publications (Cuadernos de recienvenido and Caracol), our Program also promotes conferences and international exchanges among students and professors through various exchanging Programs.E
