The Graduate Program in Geochemistry and Geotectonics USP is one of the most important centers of knowledge generation and training of researchers within the Geosciences in Brazil. The program has as main feature the involvement of masters and doctoral students in research and innovative projects that result in production of large impact, with consequent formation of inserted academic leaders in the international scientific panorama. This feature arises from the action of a permanent staff of qualified supervisors, fundraising for research and modern and diversified laboratories.

The program has great international integration, characterized by the proportion of foreign students, covenants and cooperation projects with foreign institutions, frequent exchanges of students and researchers and collaboration of teaching staff in organizing events and publishing in international journals. The Master course aims to provide students with an updated theoretical and methodological training, and experience in the development of all stages of a research project, using the available infrastructure. The Doctoral degree aims to train researchers with experience in developing innovative projects with original and inserted in the international effort to advance scientific knowledge approach.
