The post graduation program Interunits in Aesthetics and History of Art aims at a transdisciplinary reflection on art and its interfaces in order to embrace the aesthetical, historical, critical and socioeconomic aspects. This program fosters the relationship of research and artistic production with society by establishing interactions with other areas of knowledge. Briefly, the purposes of the lines of research of the Program are the following:
The formation and improvement of researches and professionals who are involved in the study of historical and philosophical concepts needed in Aesthetics and History of Art, dealing with methodologies that are able to demonstrate the outreach of this investigation;
The qualification of professionals in the development of researches and projects that substantiate the historical and aesthetic knowledge related to the current artistic, educational and cultural institutions;
The incentive to the research, its application and execution in projects dealing with the production and circulation of art in our society, including the means of communication and their cultural, economic, social and political horizons.
