Escola Politécnica’s Graduate Program in Electrical Engineering (PPGEE), which was created in May 1970, offers Academic Master and Doctorate stricto sensu courses. Its main goals are to prepare university faculty, researchers and highly qualified professionals; to conduct scientific research, and to foster the scientific and technological development in the area of Electrical and Computer Engineering, contributing to the development of the State of São Paulo and Brazil.
PPGEE is one of the largest programs in Electrical Engineering in Brazil, with over 100 PhD faculty, what provides a multidisciplinary background and stimulates professional and intellectual leadership and innovative spirit in the following areas: Systems Engineering, Microelectronics, Computer Engineering, Electronic Systems, Biomedical Engineering and Power Systems. In recent years, around 80 Masters and 50 PhDs students conclude their courses per year, with more than 350 faculty publications co-authored with students and graduates in technical and scientific events, books, chapters, journals and patents granted, evenly distributed among permanent faculty, whose majority has CNPq research productivity and CNPq technology grants.
