The post-graduate program in Endocrinology from University of Sao Paulo - Medical School includes MSc, PhD (and direct PhD). It aims generation of  knowledge and training of academic professionals and researchers with extensive knowledge in the scientific area. It is an interdisciplinary program with major focus on teaching and research. The current program has 36 mentors with diverse training and academic dedication. 

Objectives: 

• Provide generation and development of knowledge in Medical Sciences with focus on basic, clinical and therapeutic aspects. 
• Provide solid training to researchers and prepare them for the exercise of leadership in teaching and research activities. 
• Develop new methodologies for diagnosis and treatment of endocrine disorders. 

Main lines of research: 

• Pathophysiology of Endocrine - includes the study of the physiological and pathophysiological mechanisms of endocrine diseases characterized by deficiency or hormonal hyperfunction and signaling pathways of several hormones and their metabolic consequences.
• Genetics and Therapy of Endocrine diseases - comprises the identification and characterization of molecular defects and potential new therapies of endocrinological diseases.
