The Post Graduate Program in Dental Sciences has ten concentration areas: Surgery and Dentomaxillofacial Traumatology, Integrated Clinic, Endodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, Forensic Dentistry, Community Dentistry, Orthodontics, Periodontology, Dentomaxillofacial Prosthesis and Dental Prosthesis. 

The investigation fields are: Biological response in dental therapies; Epidemiology, diagnostic and prevention in dentistry; Health, education and society;  and Dental procedures and materials properties and instruments. These investigation fields are composed by 40 investigation projects that are carried out by the permanent professors in collaboration with undergraduate and graduate students. These projetcs have produced expressive qualitative intelectual results. In many of these investigations, international collaboration can be observed. The post graduate program of studies has  courses in the fundamental core and in the concentration core. These courses are performed by the permanent professors and have some contributor lecturers. One discipline is in english language, and online teaching strategies have been developed (teleodontology). The program also develops social and aid activities. Furthermore, it develops clinical treatment on the community, and many social projects are developed in association with the Ministery of Health, municipality health divisions and private companies
