The graduate program in Food Science and Technology (PPG-CTA) aims to graduate human resources, Masters and Doctors, exceptionally qualified to promote scientific and technological development of the country in the field of food science and technology, thus providing an increase of food production and quality of life to the society. The fact of being located at a College of Agriculture, the PPG-CTA has a competent faculty in the area of sugar and alcohol, which also allows the formation of researchers to work in this sector. Thus, the PPG-CTA has three research lines: Food biotechnology, Processing and Quality of Food, and Food Safety and Nutritional Quality.
