The Graduate Program (PPG) in Biosciences Applied to Pharmacy (BAF) at FCFRP-USP originated from the concentration area in Clinical Analysis of the PPG in Pharmaceutical Sciences. It was created to gather supervisors, with the common aim of teaching and doing research focused on the multidisciplinary aspects of BAF. The PPG-BAF was approved by the Technical Scientific Council of CAPES in 2005 and received grade 5 in last triennial evaluation (2010-2012). Our goal is to improve the scientific skills of professionals graduated in Pharmacy-Biochemistry and related areas, developing capabilities for teaching, conducting research and technological innovation in different areas of BAF. The PPG-BAF has two main research areas:
- EXPERIMENTAL AND CLINICAL STUDIES ON THE PHYSIOPATHOGENESIS OF DISEASES
- DIAGNOSTIC, EPIDEMIOLOGICAL INVESTIGATIONS ALTERNATIVE THERAPIES
The excellence of PPG-BAF is indicated by its history of awards, with two honorable mentions from CAPES (2008 and 2009) and the CAPES Thesis Award for the Pharmacy area (2010). In 2013, the PPG-BAF had 26 accredited supervisors and 68 students (28 Masters and 40 Ph.D.). There are important scientific peer reviewed publications derived from researches carried out by the students and supervisors, with several patents derived from theses presented at the PPG-BAF .
